Committee Minutes, Wednesday, March 29th 2006

Secretary Jessica Caroline Collins submitted the following report to the Student Senate on Wednesday, March 29th 2006, on behalf of the Campus Community Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, March 29th 2006 recommendations:

Attendance:

There were six (6) members (Adams, Collins, Haggard, Miller, Whitehouse, Wilburn) present.

There were two (2) members (Bellamy, Santiago) absent.

The following officials were also present: Compton, Hankins, Walton.

A quorum was present.

Meeting Minutes:

I. Introduction
II. Consideration of R127 Additional Student Ticket Act and R135 Carter-Finely Reallocation Act
-motion to leave bills in committee as Athletics has considered students in making new ticket allocations
III. Consideration of R131 Fan Equality Act
-Amendments
-strike “students” in line 7 and replace with “Wolfpack Fans”
-strike “Wolfpack Fans” and “replace spectators”
-strike “not only be in…” in line 14 and replace with “be enforced to the same extent in the stand”
-strike “students” in line 25 and replace with “any spectator”
-strike “ students as equal as all Wolfpack fans.” and replace with “all fans equal.”
-motion to accept all the amendments
-consent to report positively on the bill to Senate
IV. Consideration of R134 Band Seating Reallocation Act
-Athletics is already planning on moving the Band back down to the south endzone
V. Consideration of R 147 Visitation Act
-motion to accept Sen. Compton’s amendments
-consent to report bill favorably to Senate
VI. Reflection on the past year, Successes? Failures? Room for improvement?
Success: campout
Failures: transition from football season tickets to basketball season
Improvements: cheers on ticket print out and maybe on the big screen at games
