GOVERNMENT BILL 37

Chairman Tracy S. Hutcherson submitted the following report regarding Government Bill 37, "AN ACT TO ENACT THE MERGER OF THE OFF CAMPUS RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION WITH THE NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT BODY GOVERNMENT AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE GOVERNANCE OF THE NEW SUBSIDIARY ORGANIZATION", to the Student Senate on Sunday, April 2nd 2006, on behalf of the Government Operations Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, March 29th 2006 recommendations, by general consent:

Attendance:

There were six (6) members (Griggs, Heath, Hutcherson, K. Phillips, Walton, Yasin) present.

There were two (2) members (Gula, Norman) absent.

The following officials were also present: Fabricius, Hassell, Peters, Sawrey, Toms.

A quorum was present.

Recommendations:

Disconsider GB 37, OCRA Act.
