A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO AMEND THE STUDENT BODY STATUTES AND INSTILL A TIER SYSTEM FOR THE SALARIES OF ALL STUDENT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

 

Short Title: Tier system for Student Government Salaries. (Public)

BE IT ENACTED by the NC State University Student Senate that:

Section 1. The Student Body Statues shall be amended by adding a new Section 5-6 to read as follows:

    1. Salaries of Student Government Officials.

The Budget shall include provisions for the salaries of all Student Government Officials, arranged according to the following Tier system:

  1. Tier 1 shall include Senators, Judicial Board Members, and Executive Workers;
  2. Tier 2 shall include Senate Officers, Senate Committee Chairs, Judicial Assistants, and the Auditor, and Executive Staff Officers;
  3. Tier 3 shall include the Student Body President’s Chief of Staff and Chief of Operations, the Senate President Pro Tempore and Senate Secretary, the Student Body Comptroller, the Judicial Executive Assistants, and the Student Government Webmaster;
  4. Tier 4 shall include the Student Body Treasurer, the Student Senate President, and the Student Body Chief Justice; and
  5. Tier 5 shall include the Student Body President.

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its enrollment.
