PROGRAM BILL 11

 

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO COLLECT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY DISTRIBUTED TO DELTA SIGMA PHI FRATERNITY FOR THE EXPRESS INTENT OF FUNDING AN EVENT KNOWN AS LAWN PARTY

 

WHEREAS,    during the 1999-2000 session of Student Senate, Appropriations Bill 10 allocated $3,350.00 to Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity; and,

 

WHEREAS,    during the 1999-2000 session of Student Senate, Treasurer Payne allocated an additional $650.00 to Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity; and,

 

WHEREAS,    Article II, Section 5 of the Student Body Constitution requires that all funds appropriated for use but not expended during the same year remain in the Student Body Funds; and,

 

WHEREAS,    the aforementioned funds were allocated but not expended in the preceding academic year by Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity; and,

 

WHEREAS,    the aforementioned funds have not been returned by Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity to the Student Body Funds; now, therefore be it

 

ENACTED,    by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that the Student Body Treasurer is authorized to collect the $4000 allocated to Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and immediately return it to the Student Body Funds.

 

I hereby certify that this bill was read twice and adopted by consent in the North Carolina State University Student Senate, this 6^th day of June 2002.
