An act to Order A Special Election for the Purpose of Electing Departmental Representatives for the Engineers’ Council

WHEREAS,   the Engineers’ Council, the duly chartered College Council for the College of Engineering, has requested assistance polling for their departmental representative election; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED,  by the North Carolina State University Student Senate that:

 

Section 1.        There shall be a special election, entitled the “Engineers’ Council Special Election”, with polling occurring Monday, April 6th 2004 and Tuesday, April 7th 2004. Should run-off elections for the Spring General Election occur, the run-offs and the special election shall be held concurrently.

 

Section 2.        Should there not be a concurrent run-off election with the special election, the Elections Commission shall operate at least one poll site in proximity to the College of Engineering for duration at the discretion of the Commission.

 

Section 3.        The following elective offices shall be placed on the special election ballot:

(a)    Engineers’ Council – BAE, ___ seats

(b)   Engineers’ Council – BME, ___ seats

(c)    Engineers’ Council – CHE, ___ seats

(d)   Engineers’ Council – CE, ___ seats

(e)    Engineers’ Council – CSC, ___ seats

(f)     Engineers’ Council – ECE, ___ seats

(g)    Engineers’ Council – IE, ___ seats

(h)    Engineers’ Council – MAE, ___ seats

(i)      Engineers’ Council – MSE, ___ seats

(j)     Engineers’ Council – NE, ___ seats

(k)   Engineers’ Council – TE, ___ seats

(l)      Engineers’ Council – EU, ___ seats

The curriculum eligibility for each race shall be determined from documentation provided by the Engineers’ Council to the Elections Commission

 

Section 4.        Books shall open for filing of candidates in the special election no later than 5:00 PM, Thursday, March 18th 2004. Books shall close at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 26th 2004.
