AN ACT TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR STUDENT INITIATED SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT IN HONOR OF DR. LYNN TURNER.

WHEREAS, students of College of Agriculture and Life Sciences are working on raising

$30,000 to fund a student initiated scholarship in honor Dr. Lynn Turner of the Food Science Department for his dedicated and service students; and,

WHEREAS, the Agri-Life Council has been working all summer to receive funds from outside

businesses and corporations ; and,

WHEREAS, those groups affiliated with CALS will be contributing as much as possible to

achieve this goal prior to November 1^st, 2008; now therefore be it,

RESOLVED, that the North Carolina State University Student Senate authorizes and orders the student initiated scholarship in honor of Dr. Lynn Turner to be given, a sum amount not to exceed $1,500.00. .
