A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO SUPPORT LEADERSHAPE

THROUGH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

WHEREAS, LeaderShape is a leadership program for young adults that has developed a national reputation; and,

WHEREAS, LeaderShape develops tomorrow’s leaders through state-of-the-art programs and sessions; and,

WHEREAS, Many people who are currently involved in NC State Student Government have attended LeaderShape and benefitted from the program; and,

WHEREAS, The total cost to put on the program is $46,149; and,

WHEREAS, In both 2011 and 2010, LeaderShape was awarded a total of $3,000 from Student Government; and,

WHEREAS, In 2012, Student Government appropriated $1,000 to LeaderShape; and,

WHEREAS, LeaderShape has requested more funding this year to match Student Government’s previous contributions and to offset rising costs; now therefore be it,

RESOLVED, That Finance Committee appropriate $2,000 to the outstanding program; and be it further,

RESOLVED, That this bill shall be effective upon its enrollment.
