Reports of the Student Body Officers
Gave an update on the end of the year Judicial Board activities
Lamm enjoyed last year and wants to know if anyone is interested in the finance committee. Camp out was over budget due to the weather and the expense was 4300. The webmaster is changing the website. They are rekeying the office this summer. Appropriation groups need to turn in their receipts.
Lindsay: For military training two PE credits will be awarded. Committee chairs will have roundtables and Committee Chairs will meet together to discuss ideas. Remember the three door policy. Before senate amendments can be added before going to the floor. Remember receipts for appropriations or they will not receive any money in the future. They need to do this before the summer. The health center’s hours are going to be cut due to the budget. Faulty grievance procedures update, Campus culture task force for lactation, Classes are being cut yet they are moving
No report at this time
The name of dead week may be changed because faulty does not believe students understand the concept of dead week. Reading day policy- 2 days would be for studying and classes would not be held and dead week would be cut. According to regulations, classes would have to start on Monday for the Spring Semester. Students didn’t sign the petition for that, yet this is a compromise. The department wanted to change reading days to switch off from one day exam and one day reading day. Academics Committee would be in charge of this. Kelli also commented on everyone looked professional and how everyone needs to act professional. Everyone represents a very diverse group of students and it is our duty to respect every student equally. There are inappropriate times for comments and there are also inappropriate comments, make sure that you remember you are the voice of your constituents. In addition, she stresses that student government and senate committees should work together over the summer. The Retreat date is being changed and may be the weekend of Labor Day. Senate would be going away and all branches would be on this retreat. The freshman would go to a different retreat and we should welcome them. Save Labor Day Weekend.
Reports of Senate Standing Committees
Because there were no reports, committees broke up and discussed issues for the upcoming years. The time was used to give optional reports from the group meetings.

Lamm: Discussed how student organization can get furniture or anything they need for their organization. Let Lamm know if you know of any student organization that needs a computer. The winner of Fashion caucus is Crabtree and Doucette. Crabtree declines.
Lahti: Discusses the salary of instructors and the cost of courses. He says that many classes were canceled and enrollment is late. Any instructor who doesn’t have a certain number of students in their class has to drop the class. The budget issue is huge. This is affecting the graduate students and making them spend more money.
Kelli: Discussion continues on this subject. Pointed out that administration has been discussing making significant changes to the drop date policy. Senate gave feed back on ways to decrease the number of drops while also protecting the students’ decision to drop classes.
