Senator Becky Hines submitted the following report regarding Appropriations Bill 85, "An Act to Reallocate Funds Within tge Student Government Budget", on Tuesday, March 20, 2001, on behalf of the Finance Committee, and pursuent to its March 19, 2001 recommendations, by unamimous consent:

As provided by Senate Rule 12(b), the committee requests that the Senate President place AB 85 on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were six (6) Senators (Bell, Croom, Gray, Hansman, Hines, Reed.) present;

There were four (4) Senators (Anthony, Cooper, Ducote, Karl Smith.) absent;

A quorum was present.

Purpose of the Legislation:

Allows Treasurer Anthony to reallocate funds that will not be used this budget period to his line item so that he can fund worthwhile activities that benefit students, at his discretion.

Recommendations:

The Committee recommends that Senate pass this bill.
