RESOLUTION 18

Senator Arturo Lumpkin submitted the following report regarding Resolution 18, "An Act to Express Student Desire for the Reinstatement of the Wolfline Stop in the Vicinity of Current Dr. on Hillsborough St.", on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, on behalf of the University Affairs Committee, and pursuent to its September 5, 2001 recommendations, by general consent:

As provided by Senate Rule 12(b), the committee requests that the Senate President place Resolution 18 on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were seven (7) Senators (Ennis, Klaiber, Lumpkin, Murphy, Phillips, Price, Wilmoth) present;

There were two (2) Senators (, Liston) absent;

A quorum was present.

Purpose of the Legislation:

Resolution 18, Bus Stop Allocation Act, demonstrates that the North Carolina State University Student Senate is in stong favor of reinstating the Wolfline Bus Stop near Lampe Drive.

Background Information:

The Wolfline Bus Stop near Lampe Drive provides direct access to major acedemic buildings such as Daniels, Winston, Caldwell, Withers, Leazar, and Patterson Halls. This Resolution seeks to reinstate the Wolfline Stop.

Debate:

Concerns about wording mostly.

Recommendations:

That the North Carolina State University pass this Resolution by Consent.
