SENATE RESOLUTION 96

Chairman Erich M Fabricius submitted the following report regarding Senate Resolution 96, "A RULE CONCERNING THE CONSIDERATION OF GOVERNMENT BILL 95", on Tuesday, March 25th 2003, on behalf of the Committee on Rules, and pursuant to its Monday, March 24th 2003 recommendations, with 4 members voting in the affirmative and 0 in the negative:

Attendance:

There were four (4) Members (Fabricius, Gray, Pendergrass, Spencer) present.

There were two (2) Members (Palin, Tatum) absent.

A quorum was present.

The following officials were also present: Horne, Hutcherson

Purpose of Legislation:

Allows GB 95, the Appropriations Request Restructure Act, to be first read and referred to committee at the meeting that this rule is adopted.

Background Information:

Requested by sponsor Sen. Pendergrass so that GB 95 could get a committee hearing prior to the end of the session.

Recommendations:

SR 96 was introduced pursuant to standing rule.
