Committee Minutes, Wednesday, February 18th 2004
Administrator Scott Stephenson submitted the following report on Saturday, February 21st 2004, on behalf of the Campus Community Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, February 18th 2004 recommendations:
There were six (6) Members (Carroll, Horne, Hubbs, Langley, Salama, Stephenson) present.
There were four (4) Members (Boyd, Choe, Efe, Katherine Jones) absent.
A quorum was present.
The following official was also present: Fabricius

R 4 Nuisance Party Act
Voice vote to strike lines 6-12.
We have already started working with City of Raleigh on this. We need to think about how to do this the right way. We were asked why we had not formally opposed this, it led to this bill, we need to look at this more. We need to get students fired up about this. We should write a new bill. Or we should amend this bill to better represent our view point. Tabled to next meeting by consent.
SR 37 Traditions Commission Confirmation
We need to clarify whether or not we are confirming or killing the legislation. There were problems with people being contacted and not showing up for meetings. Consideration at next meeting by consent.
GB 89 Ticket Scalping Policy Act
Campus Police and Student Conduct would enforce this policy. Should the punishment be increased? Line 23 amended as follows: “one semester” struck and “six months”.
Line 27 amended as follows: strike “academic” and add “calendar.”
Senators Carrol and Salama added as secondary sponsors.
Reported favorably to Senate by consent.
GB 133 Student Tickets for Students Act
Rumors are flying about possible Homecoming and Parents Weekend game assignments. Guests tickets availability
Lines 29-30 amended as follows: strike “a maximum of one game per season”
Lines 30-31 amended as follows: strike “at any time prior to the first football game of the season”
