Committee Minutes, Monday, November 1st 2004

Chairman Patrick Cleary submitted the following report on Monday, November 1st 2004, on behalf of the Committee on Rules, and pursuant to its Monday, November 1st 2004 recommendations:

Attendance:

There were four (4) Members (Cleary, Fabricius, Lam, Sarah Thornton) present.

There were two (2) Members (Hutcherson, Toms) absent.

A quorum was present.

The following officials were also present: Birdsell, Buffkin, Mital Patel, Small

Report Overview:

The Committee failed to support fast-track consideration of the Judicial Assistants and other appointments, and deputized Sen. Fabricius to consider processes to improve the Committee's function and efficiency in the Senate. Most especially, the goal is to reduce the number of rules the Committee considers.
