Committee Minutes, Monday, January 23rd 2006

Chairman Zach Adams submitted the following report to the Student Senate on Tuesday, January 24th 2006, on behalf of the Committee on the Budget, and pursuant to its Monday, January 23rd 2006 recommendations:

Attendance:

There were three (3) members (Adams, Collins, Fabricius) present. There were also four (4) non-voting members (Griggs, Saunders, Sawrey, Toms) present.

There was one (1) non-voting member (Kelly) absent.

A quorum was present.

Meeting Overview:

Primarily a meeting to begin planning for the committee.

I. 9PM, meeting in session
II. Discussion of refreshments for committee
III. Election of Officers
-Senator Fabricius elected Vice-Chair
-Senator Collins elected Secretary
IV. Discussion on prospective guest speakers
-Tierza Watts will be invited to next meeting to discuss possible graduate or professional advisor in Student Government.
V. Discussion of possible alternative compensation to executive stipends in SG
VI. Discussion of Judicial board financing
VII. Formation of timeline for tasks of the committee this semester
-Next two meeting are tentative for February 7th and 12th. On the 12th, Treasurer Toms plans on proposing a budget to the committee.
