Leader of the Pack Scholarship
Nancy Zagbayou: prestigious scholarship, not based on popularity
Mark Clapp: great honor, recognizes Leadership, Service, and Scholarship
• Authority: leaders a good place to start, CSLEPS final say?
• Why scholarship? : Tradition, incentive, makes more prestigious, shows appreciation from NCSU toward student
• Popularity? : inconsistencies? Students get percentage of votes for that part of the program – student still represents the student body population
• SG supports something that goes against SGs belief in direct student involvement? : low vote not representative
Leadershape Conference
• Question of allocated positions for student body officers – will not happen
• Fees from students to go back to student body’s leadership – Jess mentioned that this is why there should not be allocated spots and that people should be encouraged to go anyhow
Possibly move the line from section 10 to section 8 due to the different nature of the expense. Student government to student body.
Effort to get corporate funding, want everyone to be able to attend for free.
II. Update on the status of the budget proposal and discussion of line items.
Options:
1. send top officers on retreat
