RESOLUTION 139

Chairman Adam G. Compton submitted the following report regarding Resolution 139, "A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO FORMALLY ENCOURAGE DEVELOPMENT OF PRACTICES BY THE PROFESORS OF NC STATE TO MAKE TEXTBOOKS AFFORDABLE ", to the Student Senate on Wednesday, March 22nd 2006, on behalf of the Tuition and Fees Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, March 15th 2006 recommendations:

As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Resolution 139, on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were five (5) members (Cariaga, Compton, Hughes, M. Lloyd, R. Smith) present.

There were two (2) members (Lofvenholm, McArthur) absent. There were also two (2) suspended members (Maria Evans, Kersh) absent.

A quorum was present.
