RESOLUTION 53

Chairman Casey R. Perry submitted the following report regarding Resolution 53, "A BILL TO BE ENTITLED A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE SENSE OF THE SENATE THAT THE UNC ASSOCIATION OF STUDENT GOVERNMENTS BE RESTRUCTURED TO ALLOW FOR A MORE EFFICIENT BODY ", to the Student Senate on Wednesday, November 28th 2007, on behalf of the Public Affairs Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, November 28th 2007 recommendations:

As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Resolution 53, on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were five (5) members (Elkins, Lindsay, Perry, Schweitzer, K. Smith) present.

There were six (6) members (Adonis, Chiang, Dunn, Jajoo, McPherson, Price) absent.

The following official was also present: Weeks.

A quorum was not present.

Committee Amendments:

Recommend it to be tabled until after the January ASG meeting in order for them to "get their act togehter".
