Committee Minutes, Thursday, September 6th 2007

President Pro Tempore Mike Alston submitted the following report to the Student Senate on Tuesday, September 11th 2007, on behalf of the Committee on Appropriations, and pursuant to its Thursday, September 6th 2007 recommendations:

Attendance:

There were seven (7) members (Alston, Compton, Friel, Joyner, McCullough, M. Potter, Webb) present. There was also one (1) non-voting member (Foxx) present.

There were three (3) members (Douglas, Gluck, Waldrup) absent.

A quorum was present.

Meeting Overview:

Meet to review and approve the fall 2007 appropriations packet.

Meeting Minutes:

Called to order at 9:14 PM. We had quorum.

Dates settled as you’ll see in the packet.
We discussed the ethical quandary of sponsoring a group as a member of the committee.
The committee came to the conclusion that we will not be sponsoring groups.
Waldrup is the new vice chair. Congratulations Robert!
Heather Chiang is the new secretary. She says she looks forward to the role.
Packet was approved by consent.
SBT Foxx discussed publicity for appropriations.
