President Pro Tempore Mike Alston submitted the following report to the Student Senate on Tuesday, October 9th 2007, on behalf of the Committee on Appropriations, and pursuant to its Tuesday, October 9th 2007 recommendations:
There were nine (9) members (Alston, P. Barnes, Chiang, Compton, Joyner, McCullough, M. Potter, Waldrup, Webb) present. There was also one (1) non-voting member (Foxx) present.
There were three (3) members (Friel, Gluck, Parnell) absent.
The following officials were also present: Gannon, Rogers, Rose.
A quorum was present.

Motion to fund AR 14 AASE from $0 to $200—Waldrup. Seconded.
Motion to consent—Waldrup. No objection—Passes by consent.
AR 32 American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers
Motion to keep funding for AR 32 $0—Waldrup. Seconded.
Motion to consent—Joyner. No objection—Passes by consent.
Sen. Compton abstains from voting.
AR 115 Native American Student Association
Motion to fund AR 115 NASA from $700 to $1500—Waldrup. Seconded.
Passes by voice vote.
AR 71 Higher Education Administration- Graduate Student Association
Motion to fund AR 71 HEA-GSA from $560 to $750—Compton. Seconded.
Passes by standing vote 5-2.
AR 24 Dynasty, Inc.
Motion to fund AR 24 Dynasty, Inc. from $0 to $400—Waldrup. Seconded.
Passes by voice vote.
AR 65 Acappology
Waldrup moves to fund them no additional money. Compton offers formal amendment to increase $500, fails. Motion for zero fails.
Compton moves to fund $500 additional. Passes by voice vote.
AR 37 Hillel
Compton moves to fund additional $70. Seconded by Waldrup.
Vote fails, 2-4.
Waldrup motions to withhold additional funding. Seconded by Barnes.
McCullough moves to fund additional $120. Seconded by Compton.
Motion ties, chair votes yes.
AR 117 Asian Students Association
It’s emphasized that appropriations is not supposed to fund an otherwise sustainable event.
Compton moves to fund zero additionally. Seconded by Webb.
Motion passes, 4-2.

Waldrup motioned no additional funding. Consent called. Passed by consent.
AR 5 National Association of Women MBAs
Potter moves to withhold additional funding. Passed by consent.

Compton moves to withhold additional funding. Passed by consent.
