FINANCE BILL 87

President Pro Tempore Mike Alston submitted the following report regarding Finance Bill 87, "Spring 2008 Appropriations Bill", to the Student Senate on Tuesday, February 19th 2008, on behalf of the Committee on Appropriations, and pursuant to its Monday, February 18th 2008 recommendations, by general consent:

As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Finance Bill 87, on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were seven (7) members (Alston, P. Barnes, Demanovich, McCullough, Parnell, M. Potter, Webb) present. There was also one (1) non-voting member (J. Smith) present.

There was one (1) member (Friel) absent.

A quorum was present.

Purpose of Legislation:

To appropriate student fee money to student organizations.

Recommendations:

Approve this bill!

Committee Amendments:

Those that appealed very often got their amounts inflated. Some, however, didn't.
