Chairman Elmo Thomas Lamm, Jr submitted the following report regarding Finance Bill 59, "AN ACT TO ESTABLISH THE 2009-2010 STUDENT GOVERNMENT BUDGET ", to the Student Senate on Monday, March 23rd 2009, on behalf of the Finance Committee, and pursuant to its Sunday, March 22nd 2009 recommendations, with 6 members voting in the affirmative and 0 in the negative:

As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Finance Bill 59, on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were six (6) members (Bower, Chase, Cosolito, Hager, Lamm, J. Stewart) present.

There were one (1) non-voting member (Jason D. Smith) absent and one (1) suspended member (Friel) absent.

The following official was also present: Lipka.

A quorum was present.

Purpose of Legislation:

To pass a budget for the 2009-2010 year.

Background Information:

3 Previous meetings to discuss and amend the budget. 2 meetings to originally draft the budget. 2 meetings to edit the budget after 1st reading.
