Chairman Sarah Lindh submitted the following report regarding Senate Resolution 40, "An Act to Confirm Timur Ender as Judicial Assistant", to the Student Senate on Wednesday, February 18th 2009, on behalf of the Government Operations Committee, and pursuant to its Wednesday, February 18th 2009 recommendations, with 3 members voting in the affirmative and 0 in the negative:

As provided by Senate Rule, the committee requests that the Senate President place Senate Resolution 40, on the calendar for second reading.

Attendance:

There were three (3) members (Chiang, Lindh, Jacquelyn Smith) present.

There were two (2) members (Brackett, D. Johnson) absent.

A quorum was present.

Purpose of Legislation:

Confirmation of Judicial Assistant-nominate Ender.

Background Information:

Ender is a sophomore who acted as proxy for Chief Justice Whiteside for the past 2 Senate meetings. He is knowledgeable in his duties as Judicial Assistant.
