Texas Hold 'Em
At present, we are holding the tournaments at College Inn, in the clubhouse. College Inn is located at the corner of Western and Avent Ferry; come down the driveway, and the clubhouse will be immediately on your right.

Our poker tournament will be held in the no-limit style, with the rules mostly matching what you would see on ESPN. Since our tournaments have not been extraordinarily large thus far, we allow new people to buy in, and players who have lost all of their chips to buy in again, for the first hour of play.

White chips are worth 1 dollar (or you may call them pennies if you like). Blue chips are worth 5, and red chips are worth 10. The exchange in traditional values for blue and red is simply due to the fact that we have fewer reds than blues.

As the tables start to empty, we will rearrange players to preserve the balance. To be fair, each chair will be numbered at the start of the tournament, and the player at a table sitting in the highest numbered chair at a table will be transferred to the smaller table.

The office of dealer rotates clockwise after each hand, with the player one seat to the left of the dealer covering small blind, and left of him/her covering big blind. For the first round of each hand, bidding begins with the player left of the big blind, and continues around the table until everyone has chosen to raise or match (each player receives only one opportunity to raise per round). On the following rounds, bidding commences left of the dealer. We will raise blinds on a schedule, with the time between increases dependent on the number of people participating.

Good luck!
